I have the permatrim on my f225 Parker 2310 with 50g bait tank and 4 blade prop. I can get on plane at ~ 3800 rpm 16 mph. Top speed in the bay was 36 mph at 5700rpm. The permatrim made a noticeable difference and gets the boat on plane quicker and at a lower rpm. Read up on classic Parker forum for more details.

    Question for your guys,

Whats your fuel economy with the four blade prop at plane? and whats your normal cruising speed?

I have sam 2320, 70 gallon tank, and in normal condiions i run around 5000-5100 rpm with 1.6mpg. Im curious what the 4 blade prop will do

I put a permatrim on my 2320 with a 250 Honda. Night and day difference.

I cruise at 42-4400rpm at 25-28mph (from what I remember) My flow scan says I am getting around 2.5mpg. That is with a full load and three guys. Btw, I have only had my boat with a 4 blade prop, so not sure how much of an improvement it really gives. I know the consensus is that a Parker with a bracket does better with the 4 blade prop lift. The permatrim was a big improvement.
I was getting worse mpg before I changed out my 13yr old original fuel injectors, the basket screens were pretty clogged. My f225 revd better an was a lot smoother also. I do change all my filters at 50hrs and clean my vst at 100hrs, just never did the fuel injectors.

I went from a three blade SWS 15 ½” x 17 to a four blade Power Tech 15 1/4” x 15” on a 300 Yamaha…Top speed went from 47 mph to 41mph. My old plane speed was about 25 mph, now I can plane at 18 to 21 depending on weight. MPG is right around 2 mpg. I used to get 2.7 with the old prop. No perma-trim or other added accessories on the motor, stock trim tabs. Mpg claims are at 3500rpm for the three blade and 4000rpm for the 4 blade

My best WOT (5800 rpm) loaded for tuna (great weather) was 36 MPH 5 guys, 25 tuna on ice, 50 gallon bait tank full, flaps down (weather wasn't that nice!). I backed off to about 33/34 MPH and emptied the bait tank for the trip in. I'm sorry to say I did not look at my fuel use when I did this, but I'm sure it wasn't good.

What the four blade prop did for me was allowed me to plane at a slower speed and not beat the wife up with the boat. My marriage is much happier now. When I fish inland waters for extended periods, I put the three blade on the boat for the fuel economy.

This is interesting, I'm trying to decide if I get hte permatrim now, or wait until I've had the boat for a while.

I just installed a Permatrim on 2320 last week. Just make sure you have a 90* drill angle.

I got a f250 with 3 blade prop on my 2320 full of gear and 60 gal bait tank with a bracket, start to plane right above 38-39k rpm. Cruises at 4200 25mph getting about 2.2 mpg on a nice day.
