Went with @Mike_I out of Sunset Aquatic around 6am, with hopes of rockfish out by the Oil Derricks. Had some good marks in certain areas, while other areas seemed as lifeless as the dessert. After a short ride on Mike's sweet Cabo 216, we began dropping deep and pulling up lots of Sand Dabs.

Not trying to fill up on Dabs, we went looking for structure - and upon finding some, we started catching the right kind. Salmon Groupers, Sculpin, Tree Bass, and a few dink Whitefish.

Water was a deep blue, barely any wind, and minimal swell. The sun never really came out, and remained overcast all morning. We were back in around 2pm. Overall, a great day out on the water.

Big thank you to @Mike_I for letting me tag along on his boat!
