Phenix Axis 780H (25-60lb rating) and Torium 20. Thinking about putting 65lb braid on it with 20-40 lb leader. Will mostly be using it at Catalina and Channel Islands but also want it to bring it on San Diego tuna trips as a lighter setup. What do you guys think? Will be using it for mostly live bait but maybe also pitching jigs.

My main setup right now is a Shimano Trevala TVCMH66 and an Avet SX. I'm new to this type of fishing, have only bottom fished, any help is appreciated.
