It’s too late as those clowns are unemployed as of my last post.

It’s all good. The owner is a high school buddy and I can guarantee you that this doesn’t happen on his boat often. Don’t let a couple “employees” dictate the actual business. This is actually a great operation as most will agree.

This board is full of great folks with a few questionable nerds, but don’t take it so hard! I promise you will offend someone again.

    Skol!

Scott just got in from Montana and just took over running the boat for the season. We were fishing the WON tournament last week & hooked quite a few decent BFT. We turned in 5 fish 77 to 82 lbs or so for weigh-in. The NLA had big fish at 88 lbs. I believe we had 18 BFT total for 26 anglers - quite a few were lost to light line.

I had my turn on a contender and went around the boat 3 times on 30 lb, finally loosing a decent 80 lb class fish near gaff time.

I've know Scott personally for 25 years and nobody is more driven to catch fish.

Like Steve and Ron said!! If this happened I’m sure Scott did not know or either of the other skippers!! They simply would not allow. My son is 9 I think his first ride overnite was on the Bird when he was 5 scott personally held the rod n helped him grind on a 20 yft got ate by s hammerhead at gaff. Scott hooked another smaller 15 lb fish they made quick work. Personally have know scott 15-20 years. Great guy and operation!!! Skippers only get you on fish. When it’s football yft anyone can land. But these big BFT take skill to hook and land!!! Counts do not reflect your chances. Skill does!!

I love the condor. Have had many great trips on the big bird. The only thing I’m wondering is why Scot doesn’t run the boat as often over The last two years . He is a fish killer for sure. Super competitive and runs a tight ship. But as other posters have noted, the fish counts on the big bird this year are not as good as the other top boats and I am wondering if it’s because Scott isn’t at the helm as often.

As a “few times per year” fisherman, I try and maximize my chances at catching and if there is any doubt about Scott being at the wheel, I might choose another boat.

I have a long drive to get to San Diego so I've been hesitant to jump on the 1 1/2 day trips. I wish he would offer more 2 1/2 day trips.

From recent experience, it seems Scott isn’t at the helm nearly as often and he tends to have someone else play captain while he helps out on deck.

Just to let you know, that trip was the last trip for two of those crew members. We do not accept that behavior from our crew. I’m very sorry you had to be subject to that from a couple of bad crew. We would love to get you back on the boat and show you that was not the norm for the condor!
