You are there to catch fish not sleep in your bunk all day on a wide big boat. Condor is bringing in bonitos while the other boats are killing BFT.

I have chartered the boat the last two years and the crew works hard to make sure everyone has fun! (They don't control the catching) Captain is real fishy and the boat rides Great! Go fish!

Every dog has its day! you are only good as your last 5 outings. Go and read the reports for their latest numbers! When was that photo from? 2016? 2017?
If fishing for past 35 years makes me neweb then let that be!. I've no loyalty to any boat, I pay good money and want results, I am not in for a boat ride and nice bunk and food for short trip.

    Facts, their last outings.

    Condor
    Fisherman's Landing
    San Diego, CA 19 Anglers
    1.5 Day (7 Bonito)

    Condor
    Fisherman's Landing
    San Diego, CA 15 Anglers
Overnight 1 Bluefin Tuna, 3 Yellowtail

On the same day where PQ out of Fisherman's Landing
1.5 Day 53 Bluefin Tuna, 15 Yellowtail. If you want to waste time and money be my guest! Are they good boat yes, but not the best.

OK. So not allboats kill it every trip on the same day one boat gets 53 the other gets a few bonito or nothing!!! Ron is someone I have fished with will let you know he can fish with the best!! Scott on the Condor and his operation is top shelf on par with New Lo An as two of my very favorite consistent one to 3 day boats. I worked on these boats in my younger years. Could a few deck hands get salty sure. But I would doubt Scott or Rob knew. On a trip all you can ask is a clean boat hard working crew. Catching fish is never guaranteed !! It’s fishing not catching. If you must have fish save your money go buy some fresh seined tuna!!!

All I did was share my experience on the boat. I know many people like the Condor which is why I went on the boat. By the way the report was incorrect on the website. They caught 7 BFT not bonita. I even stated in my original post that maybe they had a bad day.

Nothing wrong with Pacific Queen. I went with the original owner and Legend
Eddie McEwen when I was 15 out of Pierpoint Landing growing up in Long
Beach-1960's. The FL report was wrong, it was 7 bluefin to 80lbs, like others that day.
Some of Condor's trips now are Charters with rental rods and lots of lost fish. FYI
This post was about a guy asking how CONDOR was, not a childish
boat bashing, nit picking, cheap shot, whining dump. I and the many who posted
here only confirmed it's a great boat and crew, and fun to fish on. Always has been!
    THE END

    gkr1,

It is part of fishing . You choose Condor on that day . I ride Condor all the time . I like PQ also. Nice Captain.
Scott is a captain who goes after game fish only . Not Bonita. Marcus

The counts are never really a fair assessment of the boat, as that heavily depends on the caliber of anglers riding, and doesn't tell you about the opportunities they failed to capitalize on. When I was on the Condor I hooked and lost an easy triple digit next to the boat that you never would've known about. Instead all you saw was 5 bluefin 25-60lbs, while the Queen had 18. Some boats are more consistent, but I don't think it's necessarily a direct correlation to how good the crew is. That said, I do think the Queen, NLA, and Aztec get a bit more technical but they are also usually packed and if there's plenty of fish to be found is rather ride a less crowded boat.

Great point!!! Scott hates rockfishing!! If it’s slow I have seen him ask everyone if they have to be back at a certain time. Last year on a one day we left SCI at 10:00 am he drove non stop until 6:50 pm when we got on WFO tuna until pitch black at 9:00 full limits!!

AMEN...one time we kept going and going down 135 on a 1.5 we hit the paddy of paddies for over 350 Yellowtail, and my Avatar JP Yellowfin at 6pm. He's goes
YARD more than any other skipper, not afraid to burn fuel to go catch fish.

This is completely uncalled for! I’m calling Scott right now to inquire about the foul language and have these culprits fired immediately. No excuses!

I’m just kinda bummed that their counts seem to be consistently lower than comparable boats recently. Other than that, I know Scott works really hard and I’ve never seen someone more determined to making sure my tuna gets in the boat.

I forgot to mention that was on top of a dozen or so other losses from the rent rods and other less experienced riders. That was the best bite I'd seen yet for the season.

You guys are funny. I don't think anyone should be fired. It's the fighting between crew members that I can do without. I personally and others that were on the boat, do not want to see that on deck. Customer service and fish keep people coming back to the boat. They need to keep their issues away from the customer. Since I have offended quite a few of other BD members, this will be my last post on this thread.
