Heading to PV next week and noticed there hasn't been many catch reports for December posted recently. Have the tuna now moved on from el banco?

I'm heading there next week as well. Have you looked into boats to charter yet? I'm penciled in with Capty Danny on the 30th, looking for a few more people to chase tuna.

Don't forget about Capt. Juan Moll and the Maverick. That boat and crew always fish well. Got back a few weeks ago and put my PB in boat - about 175lbs. Those guys work real hard and are always on the bite

Fished El Banko on Friday. Very dead from 9-3. Two huge Toros, one nice Rainbow runner all on live bait, downrigger at the high spots. Trolled home for two hours with lures and only picked up two skippies. Two other boats had nada! I would suggest a over night trip that way you are in the zone if it bust loose. The whole bite could be very short lived, so you just have to be there when it happens. Every day is different!

Had a half day before Step Son flew out. Started trolling five miles past Mita and hit it hard for Nada. Ran over a long line that had to be a mile long with only soda bottles for floats. After clearing the motors, my trolling spread got hooked on the floating poly long line. While clearing that mess we noticed a turtle that was hooked on one of the hundred hooks baited with squid. Gently pulled the Tortuga along side and my SS was able to grab the Tortuga by the shell and lift him on the boat. No small lob, the SS is in good shape. The hook was swallowed so we cut it as close as possible and set it free. A good feeling cause the Tortuga was tired and had major rash from the heavy leader. Don't think it would have lasted too much longer. Good way to end the day.
