does anyone have any information on the tear down of the dolphin motel and the construction start, and finish date, of the new hotel taking its place ?? name of the new hotel etc. etc. etc. ?? looking forward to a great 2019 long range season !!!
That should of been done 40 years agoPretty sure it’s just plain gone. Thought I saw a pic someone posted, it’s been scraped. Something about apartments or condos. If they let them build without one parking space per unit, they need to be replaced by a new planning commission.
Yah, times are changing for sure; that sucks. The parking is already a mess, I can't imagine what this new "place" will do to the already difficult situation......Bummer to see an icon go, even if it was time.Just drove by it today> It is a flat piece of concret. All Torn Down.
I've stayed at the Ramada every year for the past 6 years. Clean, quiet, cheap enough $100 a night. Short walk to the landing plus I can leave my car in their lot.Prior to my departure on the Intrepid on 2-17, we are planning on staying at the Ramada. Did I make a wise decision?
Kinda like the Afton House in South Africa, a secure bed and breakfast for hunters. I've stayed there it's really nice.A long range house near the landing would be cool. 8 bedroom mansion or so. $100 a night.
Free secure shaded parking durring the trip as the property would be large.
Drop off and pick up at the landing and/or airport
Ship rods to the long range house
Garage tackle building station
LR art on the walls ect.
LR video collection to get pumped
A long range house
It was 8.00 the last time I was there in October. Plus I like the lot since you are somewhat enclosed. Harder to steal a vehicle.I spoke with Ramada on Friday, and I was told that they DO allow parking for $10/day(night). How much is the parking at the Landing?
I grab a cart and roll it across the street.......If not in one of those rooms with a view, it's easier to push cart from the Vagabond, just they won't let you leave car there anymore, so you have to find a spot in main lot or make a deal with Ramada.......Often though, my buddies are in line, so I just walk my stuff down slowly and fill up a cart with friends watching (their gear is there as well....) and hang on the balcony until it's time to move the carts....your mileage may vary.for those that park at the ramada, how do you get your gear to the boat? borrow a cart? uber?
