We're a couple of freeloading deadheads. Due to a scheduling change, the Skip launched late at "Gentlemans" hours, and let us go on the boat. We wanted him to get live bait, take us to Rocky, buy us donuts and hot chocolate, but the cheep bastid wasn't having it.

So we didn't even help him load the boat. We bellyached as he actually wouldn't launch unless we wore sunscreen! And life vests! The nerve!!! He should feel priviledge in just having hot sticks like us on his P.O.C. of a vessel, The mighty "C-₵".

Anyways, he announces "We're trolling for Bonitos"... and get this, cuts off our hooks with carefully done overhand knots, and elects to use his own trolling plugs. Well, thinking our trout rods could handle anything, the first troll rotation, we bust off a fish. He ties another lure on, and has the balls to reset our drags! Called us "Tanglers". NO ResPect!

But we showed our crusty old Skip that we know how to wrangle fish. Next rotation (Us!) I hooked a tadpole sized Bonito, but after getting pinned to the rail for a grueling 45 seconds, I hand off to my brother, who put the wood to him, and we were on the board, stripe free! Get this, next rotation (US, too) we get a double on monster Jacks...mackerels, that is. HOT RAIL!!!

Happy tanglers after the thrill of the battle!
    IMG_20171022_101643858_HDR.jpg
    High fives all around!

We let the skipper have the priviledge and self promotional glory of getting our fine pics
on his dumpy rig. We even considered letting him post for us. We declared ourselves the Jackpot wieners for the trip, but won nothing cuz the Skip wouldn't put up prize money. At least we fished. But it's OK, we're leaving him an UPPER-Decker Plano-wrecker in the tackle box next time!

Don't fish on the "C-₵", no matter how good the groupon deal is. Us deadheads have the "pot" on lockdown. They don't buy you Mcdonalds and Slurpees prior to departure, and besides, we like having the bow all to ourselves for spotting SUP paddlin' Honeys!

P.S. You find any Yellowtail, Halibut, WSB, or YFT in SMB with a Tiny Rapala with 4lb on it, It belongs to US! ; D

I was thinking the OP was a real piece of work not helping the Skip load up the skiff... then I saw the pix. :)

Really clever report from the mind of two salty young bucks. Excellent!!!
