Skied Mammoth this AM and fished the Creek for the first time this season.Fished the dry,hooked 4,landed 3.One a nice 18in that jumped clear 4 times.Another angler came over and netted it for me.Little windy had to go up to the 6wt.

The road just opened to where I fish,had to snow shoe before,too old for that!The F&G opened the water this afternoon and put the skids on the fishing.Tom

bummer....spring, snow and rain turns to mud.

Nice to see HC a coming along. There was a couple of years there where it was iffy as to whether it could retain a fishery.

And to think they want to put in a gold extraction operation near it…

I have found that the bobber guys do real well.Dry flys are alway iffy.Last summer I had 6 epic DF days as the hatch was just stupid and the fish were so thick it was crazy.The run between Hatchery and the Ranch I believe is one of the toughest spot to fish in the Sierras.Heavy pressure is a under statement.Tom
