Ventured to San Pedro to try the Horseshoe with the dog in tow. Found nice weather early, but blowing pretty good by 1:00. Water Temps 56-58, very dirty water with about 4 ft visibility, ripping current, saw no bait, no birds, no sea lions, and San Pedro Bait still shut down.
Put 17 mixed bag in the boat. Mostly calicos with two sand bass, cabezon, handful of macks on the side, and a Ling cod! Most of the Bass were right around 15 inches. All caught on plastics, all released. Decent luck early then very spread out.
Nice change of pace from Izors. Happy St. Patrick's Day and tight lines this weekend!

The Shoe is nice because you also have a decent shot at yellowtail, barracuda, bonito, and sometimes other pelagics. I'm pretty sure there were dorado on the Shoe last year, or at least in the area. Nice work!

Glad to see you venture up north my way man! (Or technically out west I guess)

I have got some really nice cabezon in the west shoe area. I usually tend to get a little more variety there too than at Izor's.
As always, great pics and thanks for the report.
