Left Sunset Aquatics around 7 and did not want to journey to Redondo where all the sporties have been limiting out on bones lately. Went upto the green buoy to try my luck, it paid off. 3 bonitos on the troll with feathers and some macs too (annoying). Pretty much ended up doing 1/4 mile radius circles around the green buoy.

Headed to Izor next with squid for some bottom fishing. First drop gets nailed, goat came up to be my dinner tonight, lol. Released many rockfish, sandies, white fish, and smaller goats for another year or two. Izor was very lively. I was multitasking trying to save waypoints. Little foggy but was still able to do 25 knots without safety concerns.

Ya, I think they r use to doing sprints. Always go belly up in a tank.

I recognize the 48 hp motor. Your the guy who recently obtained the clean Sled. Just look at you . . . getting it done.

Not sure if you did this for the Bones, but pull the gill plate for a quick bled when alive, yank the gills and empty the gut contents.. If you did, excuse my comment.

    Nice work.

I was at the LB wall same morning and managed two Bonito trolling an xrap amongst the non stop macks. Lots of marks, bait and some bonito breezers.

Good job on getting the Bonita and sheepshead. By the way, your boat is awesome. I grew up with that motor and aqua sports. Great job keeping it alive and it looks clean!

22 years is awesome. Im currently keeping two 2000 250 HP yamaha ox 66's running and i really hope that i can get 25 years out of the motors. keep them well fed and maintained and cool and they should last. The compression is getting low but is still hovering around 105. btw- i was at redondo in my whaler on sunday and nailed three large bonita. they are there at the drop off

Nice catch. Little foggy? I was out there too, trying to take my visiting daughter to Redondo for a repeat on that bone action. I turned around at the V. The fog was way thicker than last Sunday. We fished Izor’s and down to Newport instead.

WOW. those engines are great. Keep it and she will run forever. i miss my envirudes

Here is my calm day sled. 79 whaler with a 2013 suzuki 70 hp.

Yes it was foggy! I hammered it out of MDR at 8 AM and took a heading and kept it at 40 MPH. It was creepy going by the tankers off segundo. Kayakers appear out of no where. The fishing was great.

Creepy indeed. It felt like a ghost town on Sunday with greasiest ocean i have ever seen. I heard air horns but couldnt see much so reeled it in and got out of there ASAP. Yikes.
