Fished Sunday around the horseshoe area. Water was calm, good current in the morning with no swell. Went to a spot about a mile out, and it was non stop for about 2 hours. 70 % sand bass and the rest calicos. Quality was very good with a lot of legal fish. Used a variety of swimbaits and some flat falls. It didn’t matter what color or bait you sent down they were hungry. Tried for rockfish in some deeper waters after we had 36 bass but only got 1. There were a ton of sand dabs but no rockfish. I suck at rockfishig. All in all a great day, boat ran beautiful after it got back from its annual service.

Nice! We were out there too, structure scanning for new spots. We could not get the fish to go on structure, but when we found them in the column it was WFO on nice sized calicos and a few sandies.

Pretty cool getting bit (hard) in the first ten seconds of the drop this time of year.

Nice!. I was at the oil rigs on Sunday with tons of other privates and sporties. But the fishing was simply challenging. I regret not hopping over to Horseshoe now. Oh well.

    Nice report Rob

If your catching sand dabs you're in the mud, find the hard bottom and your rockfish counts go up
