    TACOMA, Wash.
Washington State Ferries says a private boat hit the ferry Chetzemoka on the run between Tacoma and the southern tip of Vashon Island.

The agency wrote on Twitter Sunday that there were no injuries, and both vessels were OK. The Point Defiance-Talequah route was running about 30 minutes late after the incident.

How drunk or drugged does someone have to be to hit a ferry? Darwinism should reign triumphant for that

I've come in hot around the corner of Vashon before but you've got to fucking be aiming to hit a ferry.

I watched the vid 2x. The private vessel never seemed to be under power. Down in San Diego we have to move for oncoming submarines. Because they can't turn fast. What are the regs in Washi?

Your right. My video started right before the impact. Didn't see the wake before. Went to a different computer.

The Regs says the ferries have the right of way. They are on a prescribed route.

Another aspect of the Regs - every operator is required to take any and all actions to avoid a collision. I saw no actions to avoid that collision.

No chance of anyone hitting a submarine up here - they are well escorted. If you forget that submarines have the right of way, there are a bunch of little boats to remind you of who has the right of way.

No way would I want to be the captain/skipper of either boat... But I am sure the Ferry Captain will be questioned as to their attempts to avoid the collision. http://www.ptleader.com/news/state-...cle_2cfb89c2-ca7c-11e3-aaca-001a4bcf6878.html

More than just questions for the skipper. Everyone on the bridge and some deck crew have been questioned and pee'd in a cup after that.
