Heading over Sunday morning my first time Hooping Catalina going to get a mooring and try and get that yellowtail on Monday Any tips or information are welcome or if you’re going to be in the area hit me up on 72, tight lines!

That island get dark as fuck at nite. Make sure u have a spot light readily! Get there before dark and make sure u scout the area for any hazards. Have fun and be safe brutha!

Roger that skipper thanks for the feedbac honestly I thought there would be more but I get it nobody wants to give up their info, we’re going to Moore up in Avalon couple of my buddies at the dock have given me some guidance so hopefully we will get lucky and be safe.

Sorry I can only say that full moons and Santa Ana winds can create 100 foot visibility and warm calm nights. Bugs can be hard to come by. Good luck.

What he said about viz. Try to find dirty water. I have seen bottom in 60 plus feet there at night by moonlight only, and one bug in 7 sets.
