Well not literally but fished it Saturday like a bunch of others did.

Some really agresive calicos in the mix in the middle grounds.

Some nice grade yellowtail on slow trolling dean's and fly lining them.
Alot of different areas holding fish. Don't be afraid of going where the others arent.

Oh and a first for me at the Coronado s.

Back on monday with a little less of my friends there

Nice report. I'll never forget my first trigger fish in Baja, when those teeth were chewing on the pliers while I tried getting the hook off it's lip. Like a damn horror film.

Trigger fish are easy to clean Use a box cutter to cut the skin then peel it off with a pair of pliers the filet. Or give me a call and I will take them off your hands.

    Nice catch Doug!

I've caught those triggers in Mexico, south of San Felipe. I've heard of them in our local waters, including MDR, but haven't seen one myself.

Ate a bunch of fried trigger fish in Mexico too. That was before I knew what ceviche was.

They were getting quite a few triggers off the Palos Verdes, Rocky Point area during the slower part of the winter this year.
