November 5 – As planned got to the upper end of the Ridge, looked around, and made several anchor jobs, picked a few smaller grade yft, I got one 15# on the Megabait. Sat down for a jumbo breakfast burrito and a second cup of coffee. After sunrise, we got on the prowl with the Polaris Supreme and the Indy also in the area, we got one wahoo on the troll, and began working our way south on the Ridge.

Dead Turtle Love – With the crew “glassing" they spotted a floating dead turtle that was loaded with medium grade dorado. As we slid up on it the water quickly went neon, and they bit WFO, typical mahi madness…and with everyone catching their desired amount we were quickly back on the hunt. Good fun and good eats and one variety checked off the list.

Ed with a nicer grade "ball slapper"

Spent a few more hours on the hunt, with nothing to show for it, and Roy says we'll see if we can find some grouper in 60 fathoms…we slide down and make a few drifts, scratching a dozen or so grouper from 12 to 25lbs, Mike, Lou and I each get one apiece.

Lou with a nice one!

We are running up 40 miles to the 13, hoping that we can find something that wants to eat for tomorrow's fishing.
