In CA you need to be at least 16 and have a Ca Boaters Card to operate 15hp and up. No DL required.

This isn’t even close.

All you are required to have is a boat operators card (CA) and that depends on your age. This isn’t a license or permit, it is a one time certification and has nothing to do with your DMV suspension.

What sucks is that ca boat owners are required to have the boater safety card but it's exempt to rentals including jet skis. This makes zero sense but they don't care since it makes tourist dollars.

You can go to the DMV and Just get a California ID which has your picture on it , as of YET I don't believe there are any Laws forbidding you from driving a vessel, I certainly would not drink a drop while operating your boat because if for some reason you got pulled over and they run your ID they will either write you up or arrest you , sorry for your fucked up situation and if you are like most boat owners water time is your outlet ,Good luck

,I’m very sorry and yes it was a very stupid decision no doubt no excuse I totally agree with you, I totally regret it not because I have to go to court or the limitations but because unfortunately the people is around me are victims of my Fuck up it really bothers me to see them go through this situation Bro , they don’t deserve that, and that was the reason of this post because i know I’m not allowed to drive I will not! I’m just trying to get some more info so I can go fishing.

Well after watching my wife and dog get mowed over by a drunk driver in a crosswalk and then weeks in hospital and months of recovery I really don’t care for how sorry drunk drivers are ….

It was this guys who hit my wifes 3rd with injuries… California is pathetic he was out of jail before my wife was out of surgery… did 2 weeks in county after pleading no contest . DA asked for 7 years judge gave him nothing
