Been looking at boats for 4 months now. i really wanted an outboard but with my 25k budget im thinking ill be getting a better value out of a skipjack. we do over nights with 3 people most of the time so cant get the cc thing. there are plenty of skipjacks for sale. if any of you have one that looks right send me a message! there are more gas options then diesel it looks like to me.

You could buy mine, drop it off at the shop, and have it ready to go in a week or two.

They are as reliable as you make them. If you keep up on maintenance and use good parts, it can be extremely reliable. If it's been run regularly, you can be sure it has it's kinks worked out and you will just have routine maintenance. That's one nice thing about an inboard gas, you can do all work yourself. It's easy.
