Offshore Hello 2023

Made 1st trip of the year with my friend Captain Wes. Was not disappointed. We were greeted with great weather and rockfish that wanted to play. Fished the Banda in around the 300 ft area with double Hookup baits. All the usual stuff wanted to come aboard and get a free trip across the border. Looked around for some exotics and found some jumbo Bonita. Was a great start to the new year. Looking forward to doing it again.

HUBs work great for rockfish and lings. Work good on a dropper too if you need more weight

Must have been good size to bite those plugs. I'd be dropping some jigs back and try to bring the school in but I love fishing for bonito more than most people

One of our funnest fisheries that are around all year long. And a great eating fish!
