Left Hawaii Kai at dawn and headed to the "knuckles" at the Banks on the Honolulu Side. Trolled all the way down to the southern tip with no real strikes (had one of the lures torn up by most likely Ono but no hook).

Found spotted puka heads at the southern tip with birds. Played for a while but no love.

Kept going to the southeast corner and finally saw a lot of birds but only could get a rat Aku out of it.

Head back to troll on Honolulu side ledge and get a Rainbow Runner and Kawakawa.

Going home in the channel we come across some Mahis jumping out of the water but no love again since the were too busy eating live Malolo.

No other fish for the day. Spent around 30 gallons of fuel for some very expensive Hawaiian Salmon... Hope it gets better soon...

P.S. My friend went further down to P bouy and he said it was dead there too.

Took the same trip Sunday. Picked up 3 Mahis on Honolulu Corner. Not much bird action anywhere out there. While we were taking cracks on the way back we take a screamer about 8 miles out in the land of OZ. Comes off after about 20 secs, guarantee Ahi ,pull in lure , big ahi teeth marks in leader. Bummer.
At least our daughters got to hear the sounds of sickle fever.
