Noticed the 40 LD does not come with switchblade lugs.

Is there anything aftermarket for reel seat or other options avail for this reel?

Wanted to use this for flat fall / bait for the big bft this summer but wanted a harness option in case I hook a big one.

Would prefer not to go up in weight to a VISX if possible to get harness option and seems FTH40LD2 would be a little under-matched for the potential 200+ lb bft.

The fathom and torque 40’s have the same specs in regards to max drag and line capacity.
One is no more overmatched than the other. Both do not have lugs...

That said, I don’t know of any reel seat / clamps that allow for a harness connection.

Not sure about aftermarket brands, other posters may chime in.
However, if 200 pound BFT are your target, I would say that you should definitely get a VISX.

Thanks all for the feedback.

I'll check out the Charkbait option.
