I love coming back to this thread and seeing everyone’s new stuff. You dudes kill it and give me ideas for future builds.
Heres a couple pictures of my last build. Not going to lie, not a huge fan of how the double wrap neon guide wraps came out. I don’t like the seeing the double wrap. live and learn.

I just poured over all 22 pages looking for color samples and some inspiration… all I can say is daaaaanng…. You guys are freakin amazing. I’m just doing a classic Honey Lami rewrap on my 1st surf rod purchased back in 1976. Thanks for posting all these builds everyone… I now have the wind in my sails that I needed to get moving on my project ! 👍🏻

I had a buddy ask me to we wrap a rod his grandpa bought home when he was a kid. I asked him what colors do you want? His reply was I don’t care. What’s your favorite team don’t have one don’t care what color you use. I threw up my hands and said FINE. I used every color thread I owned that rod is 21 different colors. He loved it. Should have taken photos.
Bet it was an awesome looking rod!

That’s really neat how you made the thread look like it was going from blue to white and back again. How’d you do that? Really clean.

One can't help but love your choice of colors AND use of regular nylon threads, Jon. You really make them look the way they're supposed to: alive and vibrant!
Well done!:appl::appl::appl::appl::appl::appl::appl::appl:

One of the most personal parts of wrapping is picking the colors. I don't believe there is a thread dedicated to it, so let's see if this will gain some momentum and potentially help all of us pick colors for future builds. If not, it should be buried in a few days

Love the faded in and out black on the purple, orange, and black (7526DBE9-DE86-4B95-A068-6F3831AFCD8D.jpeg). That's a really cool effect. Almost looks like you had to airbrush it or something. Beautiful.
