I fished with my friend Capt Carlos Bastos out of Holiday ( near Tarpon Spring), Fl yesterday.
Grouper don't bite on jigs all the time, but they are in biting mood on jigs.
There were so many big red snapper hitting jigs and we had to move not to catch red snapper. :)
I even got a nice 24" mangrove snapper on a jig.
What a enjoyable trip with great anglers in nice weather.
I used light 6'8" Black Hole Charter Special Slow Pitch rod and IRT 600 DD using close to 30 lb drag with Super Sardine jig.
