Hi Guys , I have an old green glass Sabre I acquired a while back. Are there any experts out there that might know the history ( what blank # , how many were made etc. ) on this rod? It has no markings but it’s 7ft and I’ve fished #30 and #40 comfortably on it. It has. It has nice back bone and thick walled. I always keep my eyes open and have never seen another like it. The closest I’ve seen is an old“Psychedelic” Sabre that had the same shade of green through it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Probably 670 or 671. They come up here and there. Not sure how many were made and not sure if anyone would.

Why do you think it's a Saber?

I’m not any good at links but there’s a pretty good thread about green Sabre’s on here somewhere. Couldn’t find it though. I think they were made for an old shop in South Bay?

It seems most of the green Sabres were made to be rental rods from what I've read. Others may have been made for the tackle shop as stated. They ones I have seen in threads in both the classifieds and discussion threads appear to be 660s, 665s, or 670s. I don't really know for certain. I do have a green 196-7L that came from Jerry's Tackle Box.
