We had an amazing day yesterday started off with hooking our first Marlin of the year on my own skiff get it up and it appeared to be a very small ***edit*** blue marlin **** 90-100lbs quick release (time from hook up to release under 15mins) too busy to get pics had an abnormally long bill wasn't a striper for sure so don't start lol.
(Read thru blue Id page 99% sure was a small blue)

30 seconds after the jigs go back in get knock down on the giant wahoo skirt unfortunately he missed the hooks!!!

Trolled a while longer and found the magic area, we got a double hookup and pulled this fat hoo, MY first wahoo and best it was on my boat!!!

Awesome day no matter what kind of marlin. Blacks usually have shorter bills though.

Very nice! Thanks for the bait handoff last weekend, you got some good fishing karma. My son, Max, had a blast with the skippies.

Glad you guys could pull on some fish, that's what it's all about right? Helping each other and having a good time!!

this video is from maybe 20 mins before you guys got there... We were attempting to bait the big blue with a 10lb skipjack but he wanted nothing to do with it he wanted one of them... We saw one fish get knocked like 20-25ft into the air flipping

    Click picture to play video

We saw the Marlin a few times off camera and he was bigger than our boat... Must have been 600+++

Those are two great Hoo catches to be proud of. Congratulations on your epic day. Where is the "magic area"?
