Left out of harbor island just before 4am. Motored our to sd buoy as daylight was breaking. Hoisted the sails and set a course up the coast about two miles offshore of pt Lima.
First strike was at about 6:30am and landed the largest of our three yt.
Put the two Rapala trolling lured back out and hit again at about 7:30 for the only yt that got away. Had him at the back of sailboat and as I tried to streer and reel he made a mad dash straight to the boat, line slack, bye bye big yt.
Landed two more and tons of barracuda.kept two large barracuda.
35lbs. Altogether, getting processed at fisherman’s for an early am pickup.
Great day on the water with my new fishing buddy Gus.

The rapala has been money the last couple years! Way to put a few on the boat.
