Can you describe the baiting and fight (and tackle) for that big boy (or girl)?
Avet LX Raptor on a Calstar 760L (30-80). 80lb spectra to 50 lb topshot with a 50 lb fluoro leader. 5/0 ringed Owner circle hook.

Spotted the fin 100 yds away and throttled all the way down. Pinned the biggest sardine we had on and let it out on a slow troll with a plan to let it back and then try to swing it close to the fish. As soon as the bait was 20 yards back, we saw the marlin turn for the back of the boat. Killed the motor and waited. 30 seconds and he took it lazily. 20 seconds of letting him get it in and set the hook. Corner of the mouth or I don't think we would have gotten it on 50 lb. It was a big one. Eyeball to fork was wider than my boat.
