Got my 18' force back yesterday and I'm super stoked. JS Marine did a sick job on the T-top and Ricky's upholstery did the enclosure. Josh @ JS marine went the extra mile with some fine points like custom outrigger mounts, seat mounts, pole holders and a lot of little things to convert my old dive boat into a fishing boat.
If anyone is thinking of enhancing their boat with a T-top I highly suggest you go talk to the guys at JS Marine.
It's still a small boat but it's a pretty sick little guy now and I look forward to chasing the tuna without having to wear full rain gear all day!!!

Yeah buddy that thing looks RAD. Looks like some real quality craftsmanship by Josh, it has nice lines too. How did Kimi feel about losing the "dive" boat, ha ha. By the way thanks for coming to the BBQ the other night and mahalo for the fishhead bullet.

Whoa Garrett, that frame looks solid! You'll be snug as a bug in that splash shield. Is it made of Isenglass or Strataglass, and how much did it cost? How much was the frame work?

Whoa Garrett, you're gonna kill 'em (again) this summer, and stay dry too. Really nice lines on that top.

    Thanks guys.
I definitely spent the money it took to do it right. But considering I don't have the 60 to 100k to upgrade to a Kami, Knife or similar, the cost for quality craftsmanship was well worth it.
I wanted something solid that would last, which is why I went with a T-top. The fact that the T-top made the boat look amazing was a bonus. The goal was to make the boat as comfortable and easy to fish from as possible because more time in the zone means more fish. I hope!
You can get a basic top for around 2k. Then depending on how many bells and whistles you want to add on, it will cost more. I also had a lot of custom fabrication done for my seats, pole holders, outriggers and steering wheel.
If you're thinking of doing a top the best thing to do is go down to JS Marine and talk to Josh. He's really easy to work with and he custom makes each one to fit your boat right.
