    Next time If you can’t do it with a 50# scale, cut the head off and weigh both pieces. I’d guess it’s 55-60 from past experience. Congrats on a really nice fish.

    Sniffer- That’s an epic fish. Encouraging for me, because I sometimes fish that area as well. Were you over structure, or just hard bottom? Thanks for sharing this with us all...

    Just hard bottom with a bunch of bait and life. Only reason I fished that spot was to set up drift to be just outside the MPA. I'll take lucky over being good any day.

    yep. My biggest WSB was 49.5. I was sure it was closer to 60. Put it on the scare, and laughed. Didn;t even make the 50# club hahha...but It was 50" long :D
