80 feet of water.. Just hanging off the bottom on Scuba, Had 20 mins or so of bottom time to blow before my deco. Sometimes it is just fun sitting on the bottom of the ocean and watch all the fish. There are so many fish on some of the reefs it would supprise the avarage person.

On the reef I was on there must have been 100 fish of all kinds just swimming around me.

Most fish with in my target range. I tend to be very selective when it comes to hunting.

Big fish either are just to much meat, or have worms, or just deserve to live. So I tend to shot the smaller ones. I really hate frozen fish.

    4. Divers and shore-based anglers are exempt from season and depth restrictions affecting the RCG complex, ocean whitefish, California sheephead, and other federally managed groundfish (except for lingcod). However, when spear fishing during a boat-based closure, only spear fishing gear is allowed aboard any vessel or watercraft. Also, when angling from shore during a boat-based closure, no vessel or watercraft may be used to assist in taking or possessing species included in this table. The following definitions describe boat-based and shore-based anglers, and divers:

Just have to remeber to get the rods off the boat LOL.

But boat fisherman, dont run out and get certifed its not worth it lol. (Sarcasm)

And bubbles dont scare fish away.<IF p it spell you how thats lol<>

Jesse, it sounds like you guys tore it up, where's the pics? Did you fish catalina and were you using candy, or finned bait. I've heard the goats have been going off recently. I know we caught some to be released a couple of weeks ago.

Spear dude, nice report & catch!
    I've gotta give that spear fishing/ free-diving a try!:hali_olutta:
