    As a kid I used to camp by Matilija creek. We would see the steelhead in pools and the adults would try to catch them on light trout tackle. Saw some hooked, all broke off. Caught bluegill in the pond above the Matilija dam. Thanks for the video, brought back great early fishing and camping memories.

    Many don't know of their existence. San Juan creek dumps into doheny and got a couple hundred a year in 90s with good rains. Glad today's technology can share this info. I was fascinated with steelies as a youngster! Thanks for sharing

    awesome hope they come back in plenty glad to here that there is many looking out for them and maybe i can go catch and release them someday ,fly fishing would be great
