Brought the dogs to Izors Friday 6/4 to bring me luck, it worked! Got 18 total in half day. 4 calicos, mostly shorts, all released on plastics. SandBass to 24 inches! Might be my biggest at Izors. Digital scale didn't work, but that seat is 20 inches wide and the bass is sticking out both ends.
Conditions were very nice. Overcast with just a touch of sun, not cold. Beautiful clear water 15+ ft visibility, nice to see deep color on the catches. Very light wind in the morning, topping out at about 8 knots when I left at noon. Got 5 quick ones, then slack current again. Had to move around and find biters. One sporty visited along with about 5 private boaters.
Got a "triple" on my double rig! One was tangled while the other two had hooks in them. Dogs were very interested in the catches, birds, and dolphin. Lots of bait, quite a few birds, and dolphin too. Water temp gauge wasn't working, but it seemed warmer. One of the larger Sand bass had three long octopus tentacles hanging out his mouth, used that for bait and got one Calico. Also, picked up about a dozen balloons, looks like the cruise ships are back in business. Nice day on the water, heading to dog beach to treat the good luck charms.
    Tight lines!

How hard was it to get them on the boat on the launch ramp? I want to take mine, but not sure if I could do it by myself.

I leave the dogs in their kennels, in the car. Launch, tie up, load, then leash them and walk them to the boat. Usually solo, so that works for me. Always do a "potty" walk before, and after. They really enjoy it.

Great outing. Thanks for sharing the experience and please keep on posting reports. I'd like to see your labs react to a 20 lb yellowtail.
