Damn!! Thats a toad for sure. I would guess that weight is accurate, I always laugh when guys post up 10 lb bugs and they look 4 lbs. THAT is easy 11 lbs!

    Nice night of hooping.

Bug on steroids. Nice job. Out thurs nasty weather crawl started at 9 slow all night. 5 for 7 with one 4lb. Keeper ratio is up this year. San Diego bay 15 to 45 ft shallow & deep did the same. Slack tide was best run. Hope that helps.

Love that article I found out that they know less and less about bugs and have figured out that as they get larger they grow more rapidly. My 14lb bug in my pic^ they guestimated at about 40-50 years and he has grown/ molted 4-5 times in the past 3 years in captivity. How a 10pm bug could be twice the age? Puzzle me that.

If you would like to see my bug or Learn more he is getting busy with his herem of females at the cabrillo aquarium.

Lobster of a lifetime! Well done.

The article is rediculous. I like David Haselhoff flexing and pushing his chest out. DFG agent? WTF. Liberal media at its finest.

Lobsters that big cant get into commercial traps. I didnt know that you could buy live creatures and release them into the water. Cant imagine if I asked DFG if I could buy some live fish and release them into a body of water, because I wanted to save them. What a crock.

With a home range of 100 to 600 yards, that big bug will most likely die. It was released into an unfamiliar home range. Big males are super aggresive and he may run out a smaller bunch of lobsters for a niche, but unlikely. Where ever he chose to live for so many years, was a sucessful location. One in a million. Good luck buddy. All these friggen "do-gooders" ruin more than they help.

    Great catch, terrible article.
