Cool looking rod Jim... too bad you have to have that crappy Caltrans quality screen painted logo on the grip (looks like grafitti IMO). The Dawg needs to find a better way to label his exclusive product if you guys are going to match it up with masterful thread and finish work and fancy blank labels. [IMG]

Yeah I know the rail will beat up anything in time, and maybe the logo is supposed to look "rough and tough" (industrial like) but it just looks out of place to me next to the intricate and detailed thread work you perform.

Do like the grip concept and the material though!

i saw that today, was checking out the site. That is a nice gold, and so is gold bullion.

And the pigment looks really great. I have some ideas in my mind... uh oh :)

Opinions vary, I have a real nice looking logo in brush script font and some people like the rustic looking labeling. I guess when you order yours you'll be wanting the sissy looking labels huh?

Can't say it bothers me in the least, but thank you for the input.

Sissy label for me to better match that purdy high fashion thread work you guys perform. Otherwise just give me some ugly ass thread colors and plain old wraps for the ugly Dawg label, maybe a rusty rock cod plate too so my rod doesn't move around as much on the rail.[IMG]

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I do know that exotic, hand built sport's cars or custom made street rods usually have real nice looking (shinny chromed) logos on them though. Who wants rough and tough looking when you order custom?... Ok maybe that dude who paints his $300K Lambo flat black and puts flat black wheels on it and blacks out chrome would (modern day Mad Max).[IMG]

    Tight lines!

That is beautiful!! The gold and blue, fantastic threads. What would be the line rating on blanks with these specs?
