Can anyone tell me what Avet did to bump up the drag on the new G2 reels? I don't believe there is a thrust bearing...

I got this reply from Avet:

    Hi Bill,
The combination of a larger pinion bearing, stiffer bellevilles, and a slightly larger stainless drag disc with a modified machined profile increases the drag output on the G2's. Some slight geometry changes between the frame, end housing, drag disc, and draw bar also contribute to allow more pressure to be applied through the cam before losing freespool,
