Anyone know how much 40lb. spectra will fit on each of these reels?
I know the 25N is probably better suited for 50 or 65lb, I just thought I’d ask about 40lb just incase I need to go light. Thanks.

My Fathom 15ld2 has 300yds of 40lb Berkley Pro-spec. It has a thinner diameter than most braid & costs less than maxcuatro,

Soooo Ryan at the Lake Forest Turners somehow managed to fit 696 yards of 65# Threadlock plus room for a topshot on a Fathom 25N.... insane amount of braid that is packed incredibly tight... ive fished it several time this summer for tuna and haven't had any issues repacking the braid while catching fish. I feel like the amount of braid that was packed on the Fathom 25N is an outlier but you could probably get 400 yards of 65# MC or ProSpec on your 25N

Anyone know if the FTH15LD is taller/narrower than the FTH15 star drag? Or, are they the same exact size?

Spool is the same, and the basic dimensions [height/width] are the same, but of course some variances for the difference between a star drag and 2-speed lever drag.

I think Ryan from turners got his #’s mixed up ther s no way you could fit 696 yrds of any brand 65# braid on a penn 25N

Given the diameter of 60lb Threadlock braid I just don't think it is mathematically possible to get 696 yards on that reel... Unless I am missing something?

He probably forgot to reset the counter when spooling you up. Your poor bank account.

400 yards of 60# braid on the 25N2LD. You can squeeze in another 20-40 yards if you dont want to see any black in the spool

He probably forgot to change it back from footage to yardage.
