Was shore fishing tonight and ended up snagging a rod by a rod guide. I was fishing in Dana on the island by the harbor patrol station, under the tree at the end of the parking lot. So inside the harbor toward the bait barge just before you start to round the island.

Figure it might have been lost off a kayak as it appears to have an orange ish bungee with a clip that appears to be a rod leash.

Describe the rod and reel to me to claim your property. Doesn't seem to have been in the drink too long.

Oh, I am fully cleaning it up and plan to use it. But if the owner stumbles across this, all the better.

    Nice effort Evin.
Not sure snagging is legal. I think it has to willfully take a bait.

Hah, you caught me. Hardcore rod poacher. Thanks for exposing me for the sham I am. Are there meetings I can attend? I think some coffee, god and cigarettes are all I need to replace this horrible habit of mine.

    Hah yeah, pretty wild.

I once wedged a leadhead into the opening of a bud light platinum bottle on the retrieve in long beach. Always something fishing the harbors.

Nice catch, I’d have it mounted and hung over the mantle.
