The story was my dumb ass left my gear @ the Campland ramp wash down on Saturday...the person who found them initially was going to leave them @ the marina but assumed he might be dropping them off for someone else to help themselves to. So he sought the owner out on the message boards figuring that would be the best bet. He posted on another site and others here pointed me in the right direction. He called me and made sure we were talking about the same gear, and restored my faith in humanity.

I assumed someone had taken them home for themselves, and I am glad to say I was wrong. I'm as happy to come across the honest person as I am to get my stuff back. The Campland staff told me someone had turned them in - and now they were missing - so I'm happy to say I was wrong about thinking one of them was the culprit, which they obviously were not. They've always been good to go and I kick myself for jumping to that possible conclusion.

All in all stoked! Thanks to angling community for the help & honesty. Tight lines!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. Its always nice to hear about like stories. I knew this was some primo stuff and the owner (based on the rigging, power pro to fluoro, weedless rigged swimbaits) knew what they were doing so they would most likely view one of the fishing boards. Not to speak badly of the Camp Land staff I just felt like I had to make sure the gear made it home to the right person. The hardest part was knowing that the Curado 300J was the next reel on my wish list but I knew I had to do the right thing. We are presented with oppurtunities daily to show we are good or bad people even if no one is looking.

Someone's watching out for you. Not many get their reels back. Next time you in church, put in a good word for me, and I'm sure that "Someone" is going to appreciate your gratefulness.
