Here is real report for you guys in case you want to know whats going on in SD near offshore waters.

Sunday, July 1st. Headed to 182 early AM from MB, turned south half way to the spot - water temp dropped from 70-66.9.
Heard on the radio - Islands: parking lot.

A couple miles north of 302 noticed birds and jumpers, stopped and observed the fish are all around me.
Threw everything at them, everything.. live, dead, chunks, lures, slow troll, fast trolls, driving thru them,
no go for 5 hours.... water green and dirty, a lot of temp breaks 67 - 68.5. turned back home at 2.

But the weather.. uh.. the weather was EPIC. no swell, no wind. - Lake!!

Hope things will change in a couple of days.

First trip of the season, :) it happened before.. Will catch them. soon!!!

    Good luck out there.

has anyone tried trolling the small jet heads that worked on the smaller 40-60lb models a few years ago when they first showed? Or what about drift fishing with the kite and a live bait dangling. Those would be my next 2 moves

I tried cedar plugs and purple and black jet heads yesterday. Drive through probably 20 schools. No go.

Wouldn’t be BFT without this behavior. I predict a whole summer of people complaining about BFT that wouldn’t bite and a few days, maybe a week or two, when the magic happens and everyone’s jealous of those who were there.

That’s why we go out. For a chance to be there when it happens.

I was out on Saturday and connected with 3 BF, a 25, a 35 and a 73. My son got 2 on the Iron and I got 1 on a popper.

I fished SCI yesterday. Great weather, great bait, blue water, current, we threw everything at them but there were no takers. I'm chalking it up to the full moon and tons of bait in the water.

We fished San Nic on the El Dorodo. Missed out on the epic bite on YT and WSB. Watt rolled. Still returned with near limits of bottom grabbers.. beats working

Was out at the 43 Sunday same story tons of fish everywhere tried everything a buddy even jumped in to try and shoot one no luck. We ended up flying the kite got one huge blow up but fish just missed it nice big one too over 150 for sure . We saw some big grade schools of a few miles from the school size schools . Seemed like the fish got a little more active e around the tide swing. Anyway was like a lake . Saw a mako maybe two
