Has anyone used a dead flyer on the drift before? I know they are effective on the kite. I've heard some stories of people floating them out when drifting over a school and hooking up. Any thoughts on this technique? Any ideas on how to rig them for a floating presentation?

Keep it simple. These don't work. Not worth trying😁🤏🙆‍♂️

I've seen a few hooked up on the back pack but conditions have to allow it to drift at a pretty good pace.

I have gotten yellowfin fishing dead flyers with a balloon at hurricane....nothing special...big hook, staple wings open and get it out to the zone....got a few this way, but not bluefin...I think I would try to fish some live bones for bait or live squid...something different but if your off shore and come across schools of bones I would try it...my biggest tunas came on small yellowfin and skippies...and what tuna won’t eat squid...got them at San Clemente and Cortez before on squid...
