Yeah thanks for the report! Lots of red crabs off La Jolla too! The yellowtail should be going off any day now!

Caught my pb tail (26 lbs) on a long soaked flylined flying fish. Very hearty and long lasting.

All that bait gets thicker out by the ridge as well. Random packs of tuna have been on it at times over the last 6 weeks up to Catalina. No big volume yet.
Bigger volume was outside the 43 over a month ago but has been more consistent from just below the boarder to colonet. A 30 mile long school of jumpers was reported by boats coming up between cedros and colonet as well as packs of stripers last week.
    The bluefin never left.

Yep. That is very interesting. I can’t get out until maybe next weekend. But, definitely know where I want to be looking.

In the book "the old man and the sea" (Great book in general but even more so for fisherman), the old man loathes eating dorado but really looks forward to eating flying fish, and even eats two out of a dodo's stomach before eating the dorado itself. I would try a flying fish sandwich.
