Flouro or mono for flat fall leader

If tuna had sandpaper mouths I might be more confident in those results but they have teeth and nick line. I’ve heard that flouro won’t fail as easily after being nicked. True?

Maybe they should have used 24 grit aluminum oxide sand paper?

I use hard mono leaders. I can make a whole boat of leaders (and have) with one 50 yard spool of mono for less than a few inches of Fluoro.

If you are worried about being chewed off on mono then go up to 300 or 400lb.

These night bites are the complete opposite of finesse fishing.
