I'm looking to buy something that is seal proof and large enough to keep plenty of mackerel alive in my slip, located in Dana Point.

I was told receivers were not permitted in DP due to "furbag " attraction...

I've seen scores of them successfully deployed in Dana, including all up and down my dock and there is certainly no shortage of sea lions. It's got to be the right kind of receiver though.

I too am in Dana. The Marina was considering restricting them but has not as of yet. Truthfully the seals are so bad it’s probably a good idea much as I hate to admit it.

Home depot Tijuana. The have drinking water containers with screw on lids for a reasonable price. You have to drill your own holes and I use zip ties or bailing wire to close the lid and be seal proof.

Thanks, not a bad price there either. I wonder how strong it is in keeping the sea lions out, seems worth a try.
It’s a wire mesh same as our receivers. The dogs will kill your bait in them by blowing bubbles unless you cover the bottom with hdpe or similar plastic to prevent bubbles. Dogs will destroy anything though. If it’s a long term solution I’d buy one of the big heavy duty plastic tank type
