X10 on 5-Star. Sarah's crew did a great job on my bft, and worked with me on shipping the 100lb I couldn't take with me. The frozen is never as good as the fresh, but it arrived in great shape. Very good people, and yes - easy on the eyes!

Just give them a call before your trip and let them know your return trip and to too expect you. They will call back and let you know they have you down. I live in Colorado so they take my fish back. Process them. Then deep freeze them for a week or so and then we arrange a day for me to pick up my fish from Southwest Airlines cargo department. Fish is still frozen hard as a rock when I get back to Fort Collins and I enjoy Sushi until my next adventure!

Love supporting Five Stars family business.

I ship my fish to Buffalo, NY and 5 STAR has always done what I requested.

For what it's worth, on the three trips I have been on Frank LoPreste's boats, he has spoken highly of the other fish processors and has been very conscientious about mentioning them and disclosing his relationship with Fisherman's.

For what its worth. Some feel Frank and partners ripped off the business model of the other processors and didn't like that move. That's all.

you should have them check both I had mine flown into Columbus Ga{30 miles from home} rather then Atlanta Ga{100 miles} no difference in cost, I'm going to air freight my gear next trip to San Diego instead of UPS or FedEx I have found out it is much cheaper

It's too bad it's come down to a lawsuit. It seems the only winner, are just the lawyers. They get paid on both sides, regardless.

I've had fish done with most of the processors here in San Diego throughout the years, and I find them all to be professional and offer excellent service.

I just used Five Star and I was so disapointed! Why?! Because I prefer to pass out on their couch before my long, 8-hour, drive home. But, they were done so quickly that I drove to their shop, said howdy to the crew, and they loaded my fish into my truck for me within a few minutes. They were done immediately. No time to rest for me. Then, the bluefin chunks are so beautifully cut and sealed that sometimes I just stare at them in my freezer, reluctant to eat them (that part is B.S., I'm just too busy lately to make the sushi this fish calls for).

I've used two of the processors and have stuck with Five Star. Yeah...there is drama in the industry but why get our skivies in a bind over it? There are some real good people in this industry. As customers we are blessed to have some choice. The end...

P.S. All I know is that Chef Jeff on the Royal Star...that dude can friggin cook. I love food and that guy is the shizzle. You want to fish where he's cooking.

Not only is the price right,
it will be 'there' on time,
plus 45 minutes, after the plane lands,
    on schedule - instead of "overnite", (2 days).<label for="rb_iconid_14">

They also take better care of your shit as air freight
as opposed to whatever UPS and FedEx does with
    cardboard fishing rod tubes.

I ship replacement glass neon tubing to Las Vegas
and weird 24v DC motors to Los Angeleese to be rebuilt fairly often.

Cheap and effective for 'time critical' delivery.

    Never had a problem, EVER.

And there is never a line to get your stuff
or an idiot behind the counter.

I am actually happy that nobody knows about air freight.

    So, shhhhhhhhhhh !

Used Five Star when we got in last Sunday. Finished up at the landing and went to breakfast. We were just finishing up breakfast when our fish was done. Will use them again.

I have the opposite problem. My wife has forbidden me from using anybody else. She thinks it's cool that I still get hugs from the gals.

Gretchen, by the way, gives great hugs! ;)
