Anyone going out of the Long Beach/LA area?

I am thinking about taking the boat out either Saturday or Sunday and curious to see what yall are planning?

Leaning towards Sunday as the swell looks like it will be less.

Last Monday was Izors Reef with some really nice sized Sandies. I might hit up the 150 area and look for marks and maybe go sculpin hunting as well.

If my wife decides to stay at home I will have a open seat or two for whoever wants to contribute to the gas/bait/victory beer fund. Will know what she wants to do by Friday hopefully.

I was out today at the 150 looking for sculpins. Only found goats and dabs. Tried a few numbers from FD but came up empty handed. But then again, I only fished for about an hour just to burn some fuel. I did meter a few larger solo fish from 40' down to 200'. Not sure what they were but good size marks. Sunday looks like a better day weather wise. Good luck out there.

Thanks I'm from Florida. Rain would be a reminder of home to me. This place is entirely to dry.

as a newbie and not wanting to offend neither the fishermen nor the DFG, can we keep sculpins or is it just for sport (ie - throw back).

OK well I have two victims... I mean "friends" to go along with me.

The plan is to get wet and maybe catch fish... We'll were gonna catch something even if it is a cold.

Good luck to all and let there be fish reports tomorrow night!
