I took my crazy 2 1/2 year old son out fishing for the first time. I recruited my Father In Law to help me out and he probably hadn't been out on the bay for 20 + years. We got out around 10:30 a.m. and the weather was GREAT!!!

My son really wanted to jump in. He was playing with the water every chance he got.

We first headed over to the bait barge to see the seals and birds. We pulled up on what appeared to be a seal having a very happy dream.

Unfortunately we only got a few casts off on the pole because he lost interest quick. But I managed one bass out of 5 or so casts.

We then headed in after an hour or so and I had a great time with my son. I think I will wait another year or so to take him again. All he really wanted to do the whole time was drive anyway. LOL

Great day for you and him. My 2 1/2 grandson had more fun with the bait. But while reeling it back in he hooked up to his first and second fish.
