    Aloha from Lahaina Harbor, Maui, Hawaii. The billfish bite has slowed down a little but the striped marlin and shortbill spearfish are still biting. Some boats are even getting shots at blue marlin. Mahimahis are being caught on the troll and a few are hanging around the buoys as well. The tuna bite is slightly inconsistent but decent numbers are coming up here and there. The following photos show some of February's catch.

    Here's a nice striped marlin caught trolling aboard the Jun Ken Po.

    They also picked up a couple mahis.

    Meghan from Alaska fished warm waters for the first time and got a colorful bull mahi.

    Josh traded his wheelchair for the fighting chair, catching and releasing a striped marlin. That's truly epic!

    These Australians were ecstatic with their trophy fish.

    Finding a piece of floating debris can sometimes result in a pile of fish.

    Repeat anglers Don and Jim brought their usual good luck and scored some fish.

    Jim went out again and caught more mahis.

    Deckhand Ross coached this wahine angler through her fight with a shortbill spearfish.

    An outstanding spearfish bite more than made up for a slow morning at the buoy.

    Some billfish are boated while others are released. This angler caught and released a healthy striped marlin.

    J Dub has been fishing Maui for many years. He continued his catching ways with another solid day on the water.

    One of Captain Mike's Coggin lures continued its hot streak with a 344 lb blue marlin. The lure had recently been a top producer for striped marlin, shortbill spearfish, and mahimahis.

    Mahi and shibi action provided fun for all.

    Catching a mahi put a big smile on this young angler's face.

    Numerous mahis have been on the small side lately. These three fish, on the other hand, all have some size.

    These guys were stoked with their bull-cow combination.

    Annika caught the shortbill spearfish and the biggest tuna. Good for her!

    This couple took advantage of a hot bite at the buoy.

    Here's another solid catch. Too bad the fishing isn't this good every day.

    With such a large group, these guys chartered multiple boats and caught some mahis.

    Mike from New York picked up a mahimahi. Fishing in paradise sure beats freezing on the East Coast.

    Who wouldn't take a big winter ono?

    A wahine angler took down a tough bull mahi. The fish weighed in at 42 lbs, which is huge for a mahimahi.

    Trolling produced a few mahis and a kawakawa, an elusive type of inshore tuna.
