Took my buddy out for his first time on my boat. We launched out of Cabrillo at 6am targeting PV calico bass on artificials. There was damn near zero swell or wind, which made the ride quite pleasant all day. We poked around the kelp between Fermin and trump for no bites, so we kept heading north around the MPA. We finally found some current around 10 am at rocky pt and made several drifts for a couple decent fish and several small ones. Once the current backed off we worked our way back. I got a decent one round white point and missed enough bites to drive me crazy. We called it a day around 5. It was first time mounting the GoPro on the boat and I need to work on the angle but I did manage to get some footage of our best flurry of bites. I hope you enjoy the edit!
