Is there anything in Houston or worth it this time of year? I am not familiar at all with the area but heading there next weekend for the NCAA Championship games and have some extra time to kill with a few friends.

Lived there for a few years in the 80's. The gulf gets pretty cold this time of year but similar to here if you have it dialed you can find fish. Good largemouth fishing this time of year maybe find a guide on some private water if you're into that. Take some crack down to galveston and try some jettys I think that works anywhere. A dozen oysters and a cool beer always seemed to taste better in galveston
