Caught this while sand dab fishing in 300ft water off Avalon. Any ideas what it is???
X2 on halibut larve as they grow their eyes travel to the right side and the left becomes the bottom of the fish. Nice catch.....
Sea robin or gunard.
I'm guessing the Ed isn't short for education..
It's a Goby, maybe a Sharp nose sand goby

Looks like a member of the poacher/starnose family; can't tell which exact species.
